Alot of Event updates this last month, our NEW Capture the Point Event (CTP) our new mode for DM , Death Match Survival (DMS), our afk prevention in Events, our new Team Chat feature, and also how we filter out players who dont meet the gear requirements for Events.

HIGHLIGHTS: NEW CTP EVENT, NEW DMS EVENT, AFK PREVENTION IN EVENTS!  


- CTP now uses our new team balance system (For more info read the previous news entry).
- You may now type .ctf druing ctf to check current team scores and how many players are on each team.
- CTP and CTF registration NPCs (after the event has started) now show how many players are on each team, .ctp now does too.
- Buttons were added to all Event Registration NPCs and Event Windows for information about how the event works.
- During some occasions when our auto event system chose a random event it wouldnt start the event, this has been fixed.
- New TvT/CTF (soon CTP) team balancing, instead of teams being completely random (and usually completely one sided). These Events will now consider many factors before adding players to team, like checking to see if they are a support class, Hero, Noble, your gear, your level and other factors, this will still not gurantee balanced teams, but it will surely make them more balanced more often, so dont start saying (the update didnt work) this is an example of what it can do, if two support classes, a healer, and a buffer sign for an event, they will not end up on the same team.
- new commands to explain to players how to play events, for example .infoctp, .infoctf, .infodm, .inforb, .infotvt, that way if someone dont know how to play ctp or another event and asks we can tell them to use the command ;p
- There is now a new alternative way to get the 4th Divine Inspiration Book, its now in the GM Shop for Feathers of Blessing (Rebirthing).
- New vote rewards added, Scream Mask, Dragon Boat Mask, Fox Mask, and Hair Style Change potions.
- .info game tips have been updated.
- CTF (and soon CTP) now will wait to to change the color of your name, until it ports you, some people were using the GM shop service to alter their name color confusing other players.
- The Ornithonimous hat in the GM Shop had a 7 day limited period, that time limit is now deleted.
- TvT now has a Team Chat like CTF and CTP remember just put a ` symbol in front of your text , and it will be a team only chat in yellow text.
- All Fortress Guards for all Forts are now level 83, this way everyone can get knight epuelets off them, before alot of them were too low of level to get anything from, happy fort sieging!
- Sometimes TvT would double teleport you when the event was over, this has been fixed.
- When i updated the auto event schedule the other day, I made an error and everytime CTP was chosen as the auto event it wouldnt run, this is now fixed.
- Players can now use .joindms and .leavedms for dm/dms events as well for convenience.
- The "When do events happen" part of our FaQ has been updated to include or new schedule.
- If you get reported as an AFK player now in events, and you accidently close your pop up window, you can bring it up again with .retryafk to prevent legit people from getting in trouble
- More event code optimizations.
- Going afk in Events has become a real problem, to help solve this we now have a new command, .afk , while in an event if you suspect someone of being afk , target them and type .afk and they will get a popup window, if they dont respond to the popup in 30 seconds they will be jailed for 30 minutes, also that player can not join any other events till the server restarts. That player will automatically recieve an ingame mail telling them this information and tell them why they were jailed, have fun with the new command ;p.
- Death Match Survival (DMS) now requires the person with the least deaths to have atleast acquire some kills, that means if someone just hides the whole time they can not win.
- Players may now use ` at the beginning of their text in CTF/CTP to talk to their team mates in a yellow chat, this was done to help increase the communication inside a team, this will also be added to TvT soon.
- CTP now will be ran automatically through our auto events!
- The Auto Events that run through the day have increased in interval, now its almost every hour through out the day, we used to have it where it was every hour, then every 1.5 hours later in the day.
- Our Event schedule in our FaQ will be updated soon to mirrior these changes.
- Some people are a little confused about the rules, so the rules have been updated to be clearer, English only in Global and Shout, again we respect all languages but our rules are made to protect the server, if someone is telling people to leave the server in another language we dont even know, or other chat rules, thats the reason its English only.
- Olympiad now announces its matches, i had it disabled because it was annoying, but it will let people know when people are doing oly which is good if you want to participate and also good for catching cheaters.
- Fixed some annoyances with events handling/deleting registration npcs, it would make "invisible walls" in giran where they were spawned, this will not happen anymore.
- Added Giants Codex Mastery to the Event Area of the GM Shop though, i warn you its pretty expensive but i know some of you are running around with alot of FA ;p
- Red players can now use the GM Shop.
- So far CTP seems to be running smoothly :) just need to make its own rewards instead of giving CTF's box then we will add it to our auto events!
- The Frozen Waterfalls mob Plut got a slight casting speed decrease.
- a few CTP typo fixes, and also forgot to add a few files to make it work properly ;p
- Our New Event is ready for testing! So expect to see the event happening sometime. If you havnt took the time to check the forums, the event works like this... Its a team event like tvt or ctf, depending on the events map there will be 3 to 5 points for teams to capture, once your team captures a point , you get some points for your team, now for every additional 25 seconds your team owns that point, you will get an additional 15 points, but watch out the enemy team will be trying to take back over your capture points. The event is called CTP (Capture the Point) even though its name is simular to CTF, it is very different.
- .ctpjoin, .ctpleave and .ctp command were added, ones to join, ones to leave, and .ctp is see the current statistics of CTP if its running.
- Wierd TvT fix that allowed some players to fight eachother w/o flagging or going red after the event was over.
- The Cemetery and Giants Cave ports have been added to the Global GK under Aden.
- For now on when someone tries to join ANY Event, it will check their armor, weapon, and jewls to make sure they meet the minimum requirements, if they dont they will not be able to sign up for the Event, this was done because some people join events prematurely and have terrible gear.
- There has been a fairly significant rewrite of how DM/DMS, RB, CTF and are coded, this is to increaase performance and make it easier to add new features to them later, so if you find ANY bugs in these events please let me know.
- There is a rare occurence where TvT could have no NPCs , due it not creating an instance properly, this has been fixed.
- A new Event is in development, information about it will be posted on the server Developement section of the forums soon.
- geodata fixes for the CTF Rune Castle map.
- Some CoD mobs got a small level boost and xp boost, for example Pussywillow is now 72 instead of 70, this was done to help bridge the gap between CoD/CoT because 70-73 is kinda difficult for some classes in CoT.
- A few ports from the DM/DMS Devastated Castle Map were not working, this is now fixed, thx Adenosine for reporting.
- More event code clean up/ optimizations.
- Certain events were taking away players xp when they died, this is now fixed, thx for reporting.
- There was an issue where players couldnt use the heal function at the NPC Buffer while signed for TvT, this is now fixed thx for reporting.
- Rush/blink/warp type skill optimizations and better geodata checks for it.
- Event Code optimizations.
- A new alternative mode for DM has been added, for now on when registration opens for DM it will randomly choose the traditional DM type of match or our new one Death Match Survival (DMS). The way you win DMS is to have the least amount of Deaths instead of the most amount of kills like in normal DM.
- The maximum amount of players needed to join DM/DMS has been decreased to 4 instead of 5.
- Our newest GM "DamienRasta" was added to our staff list.
- A new Server Development Section was added to our forums :) The section will include some info about "SOME" of the stuff we we will do/ or already working on, if you are interested to find info about our future head over to www.L2Equanimity.com/forums.
- A new GM was added to the L2 Equanimity team, his name is DamienRasta :)
- Added EAS and EWS to the Voting area of the GM Shop.
- Added Juices for Clan Reputation points to the Voting area of the GM Shop.
- Added the Jack O Lantern Mask to the Voting area of the GM Shop.
- The mob Leshy in CoT now has a much smaller agro range, and fanfir and Leshy are now only social with one another instead of all mobs in CoT, this was done because people would leave groups of Leshy mobs behind and peopel would get agroed and die by them.
- Updated the Vote Reward System on the website to include how much time you have left till you can vote again.
- The Vote Reward System on the website now tells you your code again if you forgot it.
- Since the May 6th L2j Sync the Group Instance (Mutilation) was not telling players their re enter time, this is now fixed, thx Stickle for reporting.
- Fixed a problem where Elf Fighters were spawning in the wrong area when a new character was made, this started happing since the may 6th l2j sync. thx for reporting.
- Fixed a CTF issue, on the Rune Castle Map, the red teams GK allowed players to port back on the castle wall behind the blue teams base, this was a typo, and is now fixed and that port now puts you on the red teams side of the castle wall
- People have been asking a while for a .xpon/off command so I went ahead and did it, enjoy :).
- Clan Skill items are now easier to get, custom/epic raids drop more of them. Also if you type .info > Items > and click the clan skill items it will tell you what each individual raid drops which clan items.
- Players now need to be level 80 instead of 78 to join TvT. TvT's Announcements were updated accordingly.
- A new FaQ section was added "How to get Clan Skill Items" it links to the newly updated clan skill items section of .info > Items.
- Updated the .info -> Commands section to include .vote, .xpon/.xpoff and other missing commands that were not added yet.
- Players can no longer get Healed from the NPC Buffer while flagged.
- Fixed a typo in DMs announcement, it said joinable for players 78+, but its only for level 80+.
- When someone is re-added to the TvT Event after DCing they should now get their prize etc if they log back in before the event is over :)
- Symbol type skills like (Symbol of Defense etc) were not working in events, this is now fixed, thx Konnos for reporting.
- If there was any Trickster Trap problems in events, its now fixed (it was causing simular errors like Symbol skills).
- Small typo fix with DM announcements.
- The solo Instance Event now has a chance of giving you Elemental Crystals instead of stones when completing the instance, or when saving the Elf in the secret room.
= The solo Instance Event had a small change of how one of the rooms port triggers, this was done because some people dont pay attention and "Think" they are stuck and can not move on, this method is more user friendly and prevent this.
- When you tried to Enter the Solo Instance Event before your re enter time was up, it was not telling your remaning time anymore (since May 6th L2j Sync due to a packet format change) this is now fixed and it will tell you your re enter time as it should.
- The FaQ section reguarding Elemental Crystals has been updated to include todays new way to get them.
- Noblesse Oblige and Paiwan Hat Hair Accessories were added to the Voting area of the GM Shop, enjoy.
- Balloon weapons were added to the voting area of the GM Shop.
- Fixed a problem with the updated auto announce system, it would sometimes announce twice, this will not happen anymore.
- a Donate via SMS option was added to the website, but you can only donate a set value of 20$, so if what your donating for is more then that, you will have to donate via SMS more than once.
